One of the things I love most about language is wordplay. The way we use words - it's just some wonderfully odd combination of cool innocence, moving brilliance, and constant change, all in complete harmony with and opposition to a melange of maddening precision, an essential inflexibility, and arguable arbitrariness. (Like most human constructs perhaps...)

There are so many ways to utilize "flash" (i.e. showing private bits to others, the light on your camera, etc.), yet all of them imply transience. Summer isn't quite over yet, but most of it sure has gone by in a flash and I have so much to be grateful for. Thank you to everyone who has made these past few weeks some of the best ever.

So here's a toast:

To being young but not always stupid; to family and friends; to warm summer nights in the city.
