These days it seems a trip to the wonderfully lazy sprawling city of LA isn't complete without a trip to LACMA, or at least the outside of it.
I'd wondered for a while why I'd never been here for the eleven years I called southern California home, and just learned that Burden's Urban Light art installation, completed in 2008, is actually only seven years young.
Though my sister wasn't and never has been nearly as impressed, I quite enjoyed this not-so-secret Californian gem. Something about nearly everything and anything from the first few decades of the 20th century that gets me every single time. It's kind of funny though how the installation seems so much larger than life in that scene from No Strings Attached. I wonder what these lamps look like in person at night - next time, perhaps!
